The rotary joint is basically the product composed of housing, shaft, bearing and seal. Since its composition is simple, the basic technology is important and it is a product that cannot be used independently.
It is a product where optimization of the product for conditions that are used in accordance with always applied facilities – the type, rotation speed, pressure, temperature and vibration of a fluid – are really important.
Use conditions of a rotary joint are very varied. For example, the pressure is -1~1,000 bar, the rotation speed is 1~40,000 RPM and the temperature is -30~300 °C (the use conditions of a rotary joint are very varied from 1,000 bar – 60 RPM to 140 bar – 40,000 RPM and 100 RPM – 300 °C).
We make it a rule to produce a test product by selecting the material quality of shaft and housing meeting the conditions where a product is actually being used from the initial development stage and by reviewing life expectancy performance of bearing, selecting the seal type and material selection of seal, PV value and balance ratio and to test a produced test product under the actual using conditions.
The KJC research laboratory has aimed to produce the best products suitable for each using condition based on experience and know-how accumulated in the rotary joint area for 30 years.
